Facebook Founders Put $170,000 Into [Pot] Pot

"According to Proposition 19 campaign filings, reported by ABC News, Sean Parker, he of the nasal infractions in "The Social Network," has donated $100,000 to this California ballot measure that seeks to legalize pot in the state.

"He is following the lead of his fellow Facebook co-founder, Dustin Moskovitz, who reportedly already donated $70,000 to support the same cause."

Decriminalization of marijuana possession and the legal protection for growing cannabis is good. This opens the door for local state governments to tax the possession, cultivation, and transportation of the substance.

Marijuana is already California's largest cash crop.

  1. Steven and I saw "The Social Network" this past weekend. It was very interesting. Interesting, too, that I now know who these two guys are.

I have no thoughts on pot. Never tried it.

  2. When I was growing up it was believed that pot was a drug that led to the harder stuff. Perhaps that was true at the time. Not so today however. I have smoked it. Do not use it nowadays.

I believe it should be legalized.
